My Artist In All creation is a Bear Claw Ice Cream Cake plate. As part of my new year going into Walsh Slattery I’ll be cooking, baking, frying, and creating seasonal dishes for my guys at Walsh Slattery to enjoy.

Part 1: I mold clay into the actual plate.

Part 2: With my fingers I make holes to represent spots, like a bear claws a tree.

Part 3: My ceramics instructor and I put the plate into the fireball to dry out.

Part 4: Once it’s dry, I paint it orange and pink. I apply two layers of paint. I paint grey spots to look like bear claws.

Part 5: My ceramics master, Miles, applies gloss to my finished masterpiece.

I will use this plate to serve up my baking creations.
